
Yeehwan is an artist whose practice incorporates drawing, sculpture, video and installation. Her work explores the potential of social relations to inspire change. She is particularly interested in how art engages environmental activism and can generate discourse through encounters and experiences.

Outside of her art practice she undertakes her commitment to social activism and environmentalism in her art teaching, through Buddhism, veganism and by volunteering for various organisations such as the Australian Conservation Foundation and the local food co-op.
Yeehwan was born and raised in Klang, Malaysia. She undertook lessons in painting and drawing throughout her school years. Yeehwan migrated to Australia in 2000 and currently resides in Gamaragal country with her family.
